Breakfast served all day!!! I'd been staying in Baker for about a week, and had never even been on this side of town, until a local couple that has been living here for 40+ years decided to take me here, and boy am I glad that they did! First off, I love anywhere that serves breakfast all day - it's my favorite meal! We walked in around lunch time, and the place was just starting to get packed by the locals. I had the Mushroom, Sausage and Cheese omelet, and my hosts each had the chicken fried steak. I asked for the hashbrowns to be crispy, and they came out perfect! We all walked in, saying that we weren't really hungry, yet we all cleaned our plates. I will definitely be back here again!

Inland cafe. It was worth the 1.3 mile drive off the interstate on a foot of packed snow. Really. If you love down-home, small-town diners, this place is for you. Low on schmaltz, this place charms with their delectable diner food & colorful clientele. Eggs were perfect, the home-fries are to die for, great coffee, tasty jam for the toast... And I overheard one of the camo-clad locals proclaim over breakfast: "give it a double shot of Viagra, cause that truck needs a little lift"

Went in for dinner was motioned to a table from across the room that wasnt suitable for our family we asked to sit elsewhere because my wife has a disability and was unable to sit in thenbooth and got the most disrespectful response from the waitress she cringed her back and neck like we had walked n in naked or something I have no idea what the problem was seeing as the place was damn near empty

It was recommended we try out the prime rib on Friday or Saturday night. I had noticed the cafe while driving around town. Service was excellent! The ladies were very friendly. Seemed to be a lot of locals dining too. Real mashed potatoes and homemade rolls. It was so good!! Serving size was generous, I could not eat all the potatoes. Oh! And the green beans with bacon was delicious! (Better than Texas Roadhouse.)

Delicious. Exactly what I wanted. Finger steaks and a huge bowl of clam chowder. Friendly, homey, and if I lived closer I'd eat here way too much.

We stopped in for a casual breakfast, and it was delicious. Although she never visited the cafe before, my mom grew up in the area, so we were excited to see a local business that has been around for a while and still thrives! Breakfast was well-priced and tasty (oh the huckleberry pancakes!!). The service was also attentive, although our food took a while. Definitely worth it though!

We stopped in for an early breakfast and this little diner did not disappoint! Clearly it is a local hangout as the waitress seemed to know everyone. The atmosphere was cool, the service was good, and the food was amazing. Their chicken fried steak was better than most homemade I've had- including my own! I would definitely eat here again and recommend to anyone. Also, it is biker friendly :)

Another of the local diners that was just screaming our name for a breakfast run. We seemed to have developed quite the penchant for greasy spoons. The seating area is fairly small, but it was not terribly crowded when we arrived and we had our choice of booths. The walls were adorned with an assortment of country quaintness, mostly hunting or fishing related. Our hostess/waitress was friendly and attentive. She seemed very familiar with the other customers and I assume the locals are all regulars here. The food was certainly good enough for us to return. Maybe one day we'll be the ones she knows on a first name basis and has our favorite orders memorized. I had my standard French Toast with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon, each was prepared just the way I like them. The French Toast was made with white bread, not soggy, and was delicious. My bacon was well done, but not burnt, with no fat and my eggs were fluffy and no runny bits anywhere to be seen. My boyfriend also ordered his standard. Country fried steak and hash browns, with eggs over medium. I have had a bite of his steak at every place we've been and honestly, I can't say I can tell a difference, but he loves it. I noticed a review for especially weak coffee, but we did not encounter this issue. The coffee was standard issue brew strength.

Local color is the vibe at the Inland Cafe. Most people know each other. Contractors, ranchers and the like banter and talk between tables. Service matched the clientele. Happy, honest, good. The food is really good and honest. Pancakes light and fluffy, perfectly cooked. I missed the nasty dirty grill grease flavor, these were clean and tasty. The biscuits and gravy were also very good, but most people would not realize that after enjoying the pasty white schmootz that lacks any sausage which we are used to. As well, the biscuits were perfect, even though not artificially thick or hopelessly crumbly as a way to achieve popular "lightness". I was excited when I looked in the back to see an aged kitchen, as proven by the wooden cooler door, just like the ones I first used in the old days. Spotless? No. Clean, yes. Organized, purposeful and skilled. I want to come back to Baker City to eat at Inland. Oh, one thing, the coffee was poured with much generosity, but was really tasteless.

A bit of a greasy spoon, but would you have it any other way in Eastern Oregon??? No, you won't find your vegan-friendly options, nor organic veggies or free-range beef...but they do have a very respectable selection of breakfast/lunch/dinner items ranging from a Mushroom burger, to many omelets, to twice-weekly prime rib Friday/Saturdays (sadly, it's not local beef as one might expect :-( It's got a homey feeling with friendly staff; everyone seems to know everyone and you'll get what you expect. Definitely one of the best diners in Baker City.

Great breakfast for the family! Bit of a way off the h-way but well worth it! If you want a good hearty breakfast at a good price, make this a stop.

If you're into diners, this is a great place to stop. It's a bit hidden if you are blowing past Baker City, OR. It is the typical, local-owned, no frills inside diner with the typical diner fare. It is reasonably priced, quick, fresh food delivered in a clean, friendly place. The service is wonderful. We stop in Baker City frequently since it's half way for our trips visiting relatives and never leave before having breakfast here.

Hometown diner feel. Great biscuits and gravy. Lots of locals. Definitely check out the breakfast. Took away a strawberry-rhubarb pie-- can't wait to taste it.

Came highly recommended, but we felt it was an average diner. Everything was fine.

Ate breakfast here. Portions were large, taste was good, but surely the gravy came from a can. The coffee was TERRIBLE. You could see daylight through the full caraffe, it was that weak. The service was prompt but often awkward. (The waitress just stood by our table while we were still reading the menu and when she brought the check back to the table, waited for me to sign and write in the tip...I just wanted to tell her to go away for a mintute...kinda weird). Bottom line: it tastes good, doesn't leave you feeling gross, is pretty cheep and gives you a 'Eastern OR' kinda feeling.

A great diner in Eastern Oregon. The chicken fried steak was one of the best I have ever had, and the price was under $10.00. The service was both fast and friendly.. Make sure you have some of those home made dinner rolls!!!
